When Bottega Veneta left Instagram, they needed their own digital territory to be immaculate. An eCommerce experience where the Intrecciato weave is felt, not just seen.

Challenge

After departing social media, Bottega Veneta's owned digital channels became the primary brand communication vehicle. The website needed to carry the full weight of the brand's visual identity — particularly the tactile, material quality that defines the house.

Approach

We focused obsessively on texture. Hover states that simulate leather grain. Product image transitions that reference the weaving process. A colour palette drawn directly from the leather studio. Every digital surface was designed to evoke a physical one.

Result

Direct-to-consumer digital revenue grew 45% year-over-year. The texture-driven approach was featured in Wallpaper* as a case study in translating material craft to screen.
